Meadowcroft Potager
Located on a bucolic estate in Southwestern CT, the Meadowcroft Potager garden is an all-cedar, custom built enclosure with raised beds for a family dedicated to organic growing practices. The careful alignment of timber members allows for long, twelve-foot spans between posts. An inner wire mesh layer helps with pest prevention while allowing trellised plants to climb vertically. Placed on axis with the driveway, and centered on a row of hornbeam trees, the garden's sloping gates draw visitors into a series of raised interlocking garden beds, grass pathways, and planted perimeter fruit trees.
